Reducing Anxiety in Boating

Most boaters experience some anxiety when heading out on the water. This type of anxiety can be “healthy” as it makes us more cautious and alert. However, some people develop “unhealthy anxiety” discouraging and even preventing them from the boating experience. This seminar will look at the causes of anxiety in boating, and provide tools to help you manage the risks. By managing the risks associated with boating, your anxiety will be reduced to a level where your boating experience will be safe and pleasurable.

Ken and Carol live and conduct sail training adventures on their custom designed/built aluminum cutter, Voyageur 10.10. Combined, they have logged over 100,000 miles. During the past 16 years they have presented hundreds of seminars on boating related topics. These seminars encourage would-be cruisers to pursue their cruising goals. First-hand experience and practical approach help you take your cruising goals from a “dream” to “reality”. Their “Safety-first” mind set will steer you away from some of the more common pitfalls. You, too, can enjoy safe and memorable cruising adventures on the high seas! You can check out their adventures and sailing courses at or Facebook “Voyageur Sailing”.
