Children Benefit from Funds Raised at Preview Day!

To date, Preview Day has raised more than $865,000 for initiatives close to the hearts of the boating community.

Preview Day proceeds will go to charity partners:

Fresh-Air-Fund.pngToronto Star Fresh Air Fund – “This tremendous donation will help The Toronto Star Fresh Air Fund support 103 camps and allow as many as 25,000 underprivileged and special needs children enjoy an unforgettable camp experience,” says Barb Mrozek, Director, Toronto Star Charities and Philanthropy. “We are truly grateful for the hard work and efforts put into this event to help give children a memory that will last a lifetime.”

Ontario-Sailing.pngOntario Sailing: Able Sail, Access BOOM Program – Travelling around the province with a trailer of specially designed Australian Access Dinghies, the mobile Access BOOM sailing program makes the opportunity to sail possible for children and young adults dealing with disabilities. With a well-designed weighted dagger board ensuring they will not capsize, the boats each accommodate one to two participants. “This generous support means we can start to replenish our aging fleet,” says Glenn Lethbridge, Executive Director, Ontario Sailing.

Lake-Joe.pngCNIB Lake Joe Summer Camp – “All of us at CNIB truly appreciate the ongoing support we receive from the Toronto Boat Show and everyone involved. Every year, funds raised go to support CNIB’s Lake Joseph Centre, which is not just a summer camp for children and youth who are blind or partially sighted, it is a place where memories and friendships are built. It is a place where people who would never meet otherwise sit around the campfire, tell stories and laugh. It is a place where activities like swimming, canoeing and wakeboarding become a dream come true!”
