Just Announced: The World Wake Association Has Sanctioned the 2020 Indoor Wakeboarding Championships at the Toronto International Boat Show.

The TORONTO INDOOR WAKEBOARD CHAMPIONSHIP is your chance to catch the biggest names in wake sports while attending the Toronto International Boat Show to see the newest in wake boats, boards and wake sports gear!

Featuring the world’s largest indoor lake, the TORONTO INDOOR WAKEBOARD CHAMPIONSHIP kicks off the 2020 WWA Wake Park World Series!

Starring the sport’s top pros competing for $10,000 in cash and World Series points, the TORONTO INDOOR WAKEBOARD CHAMPIONSHIP provides a climactic close to the final weekend of the Boat Show punctuated by play-by-play announcing, music, giveaways and pro autographs!

Canada’s best amateur riders will also battle for over $2,000 in prizes and a shot to ride against the pros!

Supported by Boarder Pass, Alliance Wake Magazine, Wake Canada, Ontario Wake and the World Wake Sports Association (WWA)!

Friday January 24

  • 4:00-4:30pm Amateur Men's Finals
  • 4:30-5:00pm Pro Women's Qualifiers
  • 5:00-6:30pm Pro Men's Qualifiers
     

Saturday January 25

  • 1:00-1:30pm Pro Women’s Finals
  • 1:30-2:15pm Po Men’s Finals
  • 2:15 - 2:45pm Pro Awards & Autographs

Pro Competitor Info

The Pro Contest is open to a limited number of top Men and Women riders on a pre-approved basis, and will feature Qualifications on Friday January 25 followed by Finals on Saturday January 26.

Pro Entry:

  • No entry fee for approved pro riders (includes Boat Show entry on January 23, 24, 25, 26).
  • Pro competitors must be a 2020 WWA Pro Athlete member.
  • Please email Pro Entry interest and short bio to be considered for the Pro to: indoorwakeboard@canadianboatshows.com

Contest Format:

Judged “pass-the handle” jam-style, hitting rails and kickers, with at least two "double passes” (out-and-back twice) per rider. * format subject to change at discretion of judges

Pro Contest video re-cap and photos supported by Alliance Wake Magazine, WWA, Wake Canada, and Toronto International Boat Show.

Amateur Competitor Info

The Amateur Contest is open to a limited number of top Amateur Men riders on a pre-approved basis, and will feature a Finals on Friday January 25. A select number of top Amateurs from Finals will be invited to compete in the Pro Qualifier that will take place on Friday January 25, following Amateur Finals. There will be product prizes for the top Amateur Finalists.

Amateur Entry:

  • Amateur entry fee is $30.00 to be paid at Boat Show office on-site, includes Boat Show 4-day pass for January 22, 23, 24 and 25 ($80 value).
  • Canadian Amateur competitors must be a 2020 Wake Canada / Provincial Wake Association member.
  • Non-Canadian Amateur competitors must be a 2020 WWA Amateur Athlete member.
  • Please email Amateur Entry interest and short bio to be considered for the Amateur Contest: indoorwakeboard@canadianboatshows.com

All Pro and Amateur riders must bring their own equipment, including wetsuit (water is very cold!). Helmets are mandatory! All riders must sign an event participant waiver on site. Riders under age 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the waiver.
